Internet in Danger

As far as I know, Congress has been planning to pass the SOPA and PIPA bills which will endanger the freedom of internet users in the US. I fear that sites like DA and LJ could be in grave danger of being forced to shut down. Wikipedia, Google, Reddit and many popular sites have joined the fight against these bills. It just pisses me off that there are people that don't understand the importantance of art here. The authors and artists are just being influenced by the people and the enviroment that inspired them and they are expressing them in their own vision and style. If either one of these bills pass, the internet will be nothing, absolutely NOTHING. Also, the people who rely on the internet for their jobs will also suffer tragic outcomes. So, I am praying that these bills would be shelved and that the internet will remain open and free for all. I know this is kind of a ramble but I just have to get this off my chest.
